The Arab Parliament awards Abdullah Al Othaim the "Pioneers of Arab Development" medal in recognition of his efforts in achieving development and enriching charitable and humanitarian work

The Arab Parliament awarded Mr. Abdullah bin Saleh bin Ali Al Othaim, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Abdullah Al Othaim Holding Company, the "Pioneers of Arab Development" medal, making him the first Arab figure to receive this medal, which is presented to individuals who have had a significant impact on charitable and humanitarian work at the national and Arab levels. This came on the sidelines of the third general session of the Arab Parliament of the second session of the third legislative term, held today in the main hall of the Arab League headquarters in Cairo.

Adel bin Abdul Rahman Al-Asoomi, President of the Arab Parliament, said: The Arab Parliament is keen to honor the Excellencies and Honorable Arab figures who have influence in various fields, and to highlight their experiences and success stories, hoping to renew confidence among our Arab youth in their ability to achieve their goals.

The President of the Arab Parliament pointed out that "Al Othaim" is one of the most prominent Saudi and Arab national figures who have made significant contributions to charitable and humanitarian work, and he was an Arab model deserving of honor, given his contributions in various sectors.

Al-Asoomi emphasized that the choice of Mr. Abdullah bin Saleh bin Ali Al Othaim, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Othaim Holding Company, and the awarding of the "Pioneers of Arab Development" medal is in recognition of his unique journey, inspiring story, and genius in contributing to enriching the experience of economic cooperation, by achieving remarkable success for his various projects in many Arab countries, which have contributed to the Arab markets, providing job opportunities for youth and various competencies in these countries.

Mr. Abdullah bin Saleh Al Othaim expressed his gratitude and appreciation to Mr. Adel bin Abdul Rahman Al-Asoomi, President of the Arab Parliament, and to the members of the Parliament and all those who nominated him for the honor and awarded him the medal of "Pioneers of Arab Development", adding that the honor and celebration coincided with great happiness, as it comes within the scope of our Arab university and in the forum of the Arab peoples, the Arab Parliament, one of the most important tributaries of Arab diplomacy and joint Arab action.

Al Othaim stated that what enhances the value of this honor is that it coincides with the celebrations of our dear country, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, on the anniversary of its founding, the day when the sun of glory and dignity rose for a nation that has borne, and continues to bear, the issues, challenges, hopes, and aspirations of its Arab and Islamic nation.

Al Othaim emphasized that the developmental dimension of societies represents one of the main axes from which we launch our commercial, investment, social responsibility initiatives, and programs, to create more job opportunities, enhance the efficiency of human capital, localize technology, and develop infrastructure, to contribute to achieving the desired developmental goals under the unlimited support enjoyed by the business sector in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from our wise leadership, and to highlight what the Saudi government provides in terms of support, care, and wide spaces for work and sustainable development initiatives led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and his Crown Prince, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the engineer of Vision 2030 of the Kingdom, which seeks to build a vibrant society, a flourishing economy, and an ambitious nation.

Al Othaim noted that the Arab Parliament's decision to award the "Pioneers of Development" medal to individuals who have made outstanding contributions in the field of development is an appreciation for the developers in our Arab world and an incentive for them to contribute more in various developmental areas, and undoubtedly, this honor is a recognition and appreciation for all of them.

Al Othaim concluded his statements with a prayer, asking Allah for assistance and success for all our leaders in our Arab homeland, including kings, princes, and presidents, and for the members of the Arab Parliament as they undertake these great tasks, especially in this current time when the Arab region faces many challenges, so that the banner of Arabism remains high and fluttering by the will of Allah, and our great Arab nation remains dear with its rich contributions.
